- Replace the sample text for each element.
Select Insert from the main menu, then select Picture for a menu
of choices. Select From File and locate the image you'd like to
insert.
- Do you have pictures you would like to insert? You can select
Insert Picture, Clip Art to bring in clipart from the Microsoft clipart
libraries.
- Some of the templates come with a Photo Socket (a placeholder
for digital images).
For the templates that come with a Photo Socket, click on the
Socket and then click the Insert Photo button on the Photo
Templates toolbar on the left side of your screen (the icon will say
Insert Photo when you pass your mouse over it). Click browse to
find your clip art or photos.
You then have three options:
- Autocrop to selection size - this automatically fits your photo into the photo socket. It may crop the edges of large photos.
- Center in selection space - this centers your photo in the middle of the photo socket.
- Align with top left corner - this places your photo in the top left corner of the photo socket.
You may also want to touch-up, crop or otherwise modify your
image using your favorite photo or image editing software
before inserting the image in Word.
- For best results, print on HP Professional Brochure & Flyer Paper. Choose HP Premium Inkjet Paper, Special Paper or HP Brochure & Flyer Paper as the paper type on your HP DeskJet Printer. Select Normal print quality for faster print speed or select Best for highest print quality.
- Automatic two-sided printing
When printing a brochure, two-sided flyer or data sheet, you'll
need to print an image on both sides of the paper. The best
way to do this is to use an HP two-sided printing accessory with
your HP inkjet printer, which automatically prints on both sides
of the page without any manual intervention. Here's how you
set it up:
- In the Properties dialog box, select the Features tab.
- Check the box for Two-Sided Printing. If Automatic is
also selected (default), you can choose how you would
like the page margins to be treated. Make your
margin selection and click OK.
- Click OK in the Features tab to return to the print
dialog box.
- In the Print dialog box you can also select the pages
you want to print, number of copies, and collation
(optional).
- Click OK to begin printing.
- Manual two-sided printing
If you don't have an HP two-sided printing accessory on
your printer, you will need to manually turn the page over to
print the second side. Use the following method:
- Print the first side: From the File menu, select Print. In
the Page Range field, select Pages, then enter 1 to
print the first side. Click OK to begin printing.
- Print the second side:
When the first side of your brochure finishes printing,
remove the brochure from the output tray and place it
back in the paper tray, printed side up. From the File
menu, select Print. In the Page Range field, select
Pages, then enter 2 to print the second side. Click OK
to begin printing.
- Repeat steps 1-2 for each pair of pages that you
need to print.
- Remember to save your work!
